Bixby Bands is home to the Pride of Bixby Marching Band, talented young musicians and dedicated directors. Since its inception, Bixby Bands has been a cornerstone of its community for creating excellence and hardworking citizens. In its recent time, Bixby Bands has won numerous state championships in both 5A and 6A-II Divisions, Regional Class Champion and Finalist in BOA and marched in the 2019 London New Years Day Parade as a selected participant as well as the Cadogan Hall Concert Series. Bixby continues to develop its musicians and ensembles around the best literature, professional-grade master classes and performances, and an ever-increasing level of the highest musicianship and excellence. Each band member and their family pay Band Fees each year. Without these Fees, the music program is not able to compete in, local, regional or international tournaments and events, pay additional instructional staff, or purchase new equipment. This year Bixby Band will participate in several local, regional, national competitions and international events. Support from Bixby Band families, Sponsors, and the Community pay for travel, equipment, props, instruments, and other necessary items to maintain Bixby Bands music program. Expenses are covered by contributions made by booster parents, band sponsors and money raised from fundraising. Monetary support is always welcome, but if you or your company have something else that you think we could use (packaged foods, water, first aid supplies, or anything else), please contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
