Middle School Band
6th Grade Band
Directors: Jeremy Parker, Chris Walden, Geoffrey Anikienko, Steven Collins, Aaron Hutson, Lara Davis
The 6th Grade Band is the beginning ensemble of Bixby Public Schools. The band students in this ensemble are comprised of dedicated and talented students from all of the intermediate sites in the district, totaling over 200 students in all. This group focuses on developing the basics and fundamentals of each instrument, while performing fun concert music for the first time in the program! The 6th Grade Band performs for the Bixby Middle School band concerts each semester.
7th Grade Band

The 7th Grade Band is the ensemble for all 7th grade band students and developing musicians. The members in this group continue to develop instrument specific skills while spending more time playing concert music and audition music. Many of the musicians in this group try out and earn spots in the EDBDA All District Band in the fall, while participating and receiving medals and awards at Solo and Ensemble. This ensemble performs at Silver Dollar City and the Bixby Middle School band concerts.
8th Grade Band
Directors: Chris Walden, Jeremy Parker, Geoffrey Anikienko, Steven Collins, Aaron Hutson, Lara Davis
The 8th Grade Band is the premiere ensemble of Bixby Middle School. Many of the musicians in this group earn spots in the EDBDA All District Band in the fall, while earning consistent superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble. This ensemble performs at the Bixby Middle School Veteren’s Assembly, Silver Dollar City, and the Bixby Middle School band concerts.
